- Chosen by Voters You put "PETA stands for -"?What does that mean?PETA is a hypocrisy. This is what they believe in.-No eating of meats or animal byproducts-No farming of animals-No medical testing of animals-No animals for entertainment purposes(This means NO PETS)(NO ZOOS)(NO PETTING FARMS)(AND NO ANIMALS ON TELEVISION)This is where the hypocritical aspect of PETA comes into play. -They believe in no violence towards animals, but use violence against people to get their way. They firebomb animal testing labs, protest outside of peoples homes, vandalize, and start riots with criminal activity to get their way.-Vice President of PETA, Mary Beth Sweetland, a type a diabetic, uses insulin daily to stay alive. The problem is that insulin was made by using medical testing on dogs, which PETA is strictly against! All in all, PETA is a very hypocritical organization that uses violence, criminal mischief, intimidation, fear, guilt, and propoganda to achieve their goals of "complete animal liberation".One more fact is that PETA is against animals being euthanized in animal shelters. They would pprefer the animals to be free. Here's where the problem lies. In 2007, PETA took in 2,103 animals. That same year, they euthanized 1,325 animals because they could no longer offer care for them. That means that only 778 animals rescued by PETA that year actually survived PETA. That means that almost two thirds of the animals PETA rescues each year, end up dying in the hands of PETA. It would have been better if PETA had never rescued them at all. Afterall, PETA does claim to be against animal euthanization right? Here is a video that outlines PETA's faults and hypocracy.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsHUBEfBN…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4Eo4KtBJ…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXjwDqz4g…Hope I helped! Ethically (not religiously) speaking….why can't we experiment on humans?

Category: Animal Protection — Tags: – admin @ 10:29 am

In my opinion it would actually be more ethical to experiment on willing human volunteers than on animals which cannot either object or consent to such actions. It is just rather controversial, and the fact that we have been experimenting on animals since ancient times, is seen as a reason/excuse to carry on doing it, while beginning to experiment on humans would represent in a change of approach and will be met by opposition from those who dislike change in general. Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_test…The earliest references to animal testing are found in the writings of the Greeks in the second and fourth centuries BCE. Aristotle (???????????) (384-322 BCE) and Erasistratus (304-258 BCE) were among the first to perform experiments on living animals.[12] Galen, a physician in second-century Rome, dissected pigs and goats, and is known as the "father of vivisection."[13] 2 years ago Yep. It would also be more practicle since animals don't all react in the same ways…so just because it works in a pig doesn't mean it will in a human…

Why aren't humans designed better, will get a better design after a few million years (if we live that long)?

Category: Animal Protection — Tags: – admin @ 9:11 am

- Chosen by Voters Humans are unlikely to evolve any longer; unless we evolve into taller, stronger, and healthier people. The reason we don't evolve is because society looks down on breeding with people with any kinds of mutations. If it became popular to sleep with people who have a mutation for having four arms, we might eventually evolve into a species with four arms, but that is very unlikely. 3 years ago 80% 4 Votes

Can I hit someone elses dog is I think they are a threat?

Category: Animal Protection — Tags: – admin @ 8:27 am

You have the right to protect yourself as well as your dog. These people that you speak of obviously have no regard for other people and no regard for their own pets. Pets that run loose at are risk of being injured or killed as well as at risk of injuring or killing something else. Advise the owners of these dogs that they are being extremely irresponsible owners and that you will pursue further action (meaning you will sue them silly) if you or you dog is ever injured by one of their dogs. 5 years ago 1 person rated this as good Thanks. I completely agree. Besides the obvious danger, who knows if these dogs are properly vacinated.

If an animal attacked you're kid, ladies?

Category: Animal Protection — Tags: – admin @ 7:30 am

There would probably be fallen tree branches because many wild animals live in the woods, so I imagine I would grab the biggest branch I could find and beat the tar out of the animal. I have read about mothers who have saved their child from wild animals barehanded, but I don't know if I would have that kind of courage and I hope I never have to find out. 3 years ago yep

Is there something wrong with my mom? I think she's crazy and its getting worse? Help? :(?

got a love the gal who doesn't know the word precocious, lol.You are very brave and mature for age 12. You are right. Something isn't right with your mom. She may have a chemical imbalance, or may just be abusive with an explosive temper. She may be depressed or chemically addicted to some drug you haven't seen her use. The reason doesn't really matter at this point. What matters first is that you, your sister, and grandma are safe. I found some phone numbers for you. You can talk to the counselor at school, but sometimes when you ask for help they may want to talk you your mom first. So that would be defeating the purpose. It doesn't sound like your grandma is brave enough to stand up to her. Abusive people can be very intimidating. You may be 12, but you sound like a fighter. I commend you for being wise enough to know that your mom may be mentally ill and for not getting down on yourself and playing the vicim role. Yes, you will stop the cycle of abuse! You go girl, and remember, keep asking for help until you get it. You may be dissapointed a few time before you get it. That's just how the system works. I will pray for your safety and that your mom get the help she needs too. here is a toll free number for crisis intervention 1-800-273-talk (8255).To report a possible case of child abuse or neglect in Montanacall toll-free 1-866-820-5437 2 months ago 1 person rated this as good Thank you for your support and advice :)

I tend to dislike both political parties for the following reasons. Does anyone agree with me on any?

Category: Animal Protection — Tags: – admin @ 6:09 am

I actually agree on both ends… though I believe that all of those things apply to both sides at one point or another in their own way. Extreme Partisanship is tearing this nation apart from it's roots on up. We keep this up, and we'll instigate a third World War and another American civil war in the same sweeping move and be entirely destroyed before it's done. 5 years ago probably a few years off but it could happen
